Please view the basic rules below for registering top-level domains.
.COM, .NET and .ORG Top Level Domain Names
have a variety of basic rules.
- .COM
- to be used for commercial and personal sites
- .ORG
- recommended for not-for-profit organizations
- .NET
- recommended for companies involved in Internet infrastructure
- Use only
letters, numbers, or dash ("-")
- Cannot
begin or end with a dash
- Must have
at least 2 characters, but less than 23, not including .COM,
.NET and .ORG
- Domain
names are not case sensitive
Other top level
domains such as .CO.UK have different rules. Please contact Website Labs
directly if you wish to register one of these.
